First Aid Training
Whether in the home, the workplace or at the sports pitch, First Aid is an essential skill. Anyone, of any age, can have an accident and the one thing you can almost guarantee is that it will happen when it's least expected. Learning vital first aid skills could help save a life - perhaps a family member, a workmate or a complete stranger.
In the workplace, the Health and Safety Executive insists that all employers provide first aid cover of some sort. The level of cover will depend on a proper risk assesment, but Ashgrove Health is able to provide first aid training to meet all likely needs. Our Training Philosophy:
Currently, a first aid certificate is valid for 3 years. Most people (fortunately) never have to practise their first aid and it is highly likely that their valuable skills will be forgotten. At Ashgrove Health we make every effort to make sure the first aid sticks!
Here's how:
High Quality Training
All our instructors are selected for their ability to convey information well. We use a range of visual aids, hands-on training aids and effective supervision, plus realistic casualty simulation to ensure that the training is made as memorable as possible. Our students can expect to leave us confident that they can cope with almost any first aid emergency.
Periodic Refresher Training
All individuals who have passed our First Aid at Work course are invited to contact us for periodic refresher training throughout the time that their qualification is valid. This can be tailored to the perceived needs of the company and can be run either on-site or at our venue. A small charge is levied, but the benefits are enormous. This method of training is so highly regarded that first aid refresher training is likely to become compulsory over the next year.
The Ashgrove Helpline
Our helpline is open to anyone who has qualified through Ashgrove Health (as long as their qualification is still valid). We promise to provide the definitive answer on any first aid queries that may arise.
Ashgrove Health is an HSE approved provider of high quality, cost effective First Aid training.
Courses
We run a variety of courses to suit individual or corporate needs. Examples are:
- First Aid at Work (four day): suitable for larger businesses
- First Aid at Work Refresher (two day): must be completed within 3 years of the above qualification
- Emergency First Aid (one day): for Appointed Persons, Small Businesses or individuals
- Paediatric First Aid (one day): ideal for mothers-to-be or new parents
- Automated Defibrillator Use (Half Day): Open to anyone, but of particular use to those with access to an AED
